Waiting Game

I haven't written in a while. There's really nothing new to report..... yet. We have been self isolating for 3 weeks.

We go on a morning walk every morning. We don't come in contact with people. It's just a way to get outside, get a little exercise, some fresh air, and a little Vitamin D. We keep our store trips to a minimum. So far we are able to go about 2 weeks without a grocery store trip and only to the 7-11 for milk when we need it.

Sometimes we have a water fight in our carport, other times we bake treats, draw, read, colour, or just veg out in front the TV.

It really is a game of odds. We want to lower our odds of catching the Corona virus. The more you go into public the higher your odds of coming in contact with the contagion. The less you go out, the better your odds of NOT coming in contact with it.

Although official home schooling is over, I have decided to keep doing a few lessons during the week. I have noticed a few weak areas in my son's maths skills and I'm also taking this opportunity to teach my son a little American History. Friday we are trying our first online Latvian language lesson, wish us luck!

There have been a few changes at the school and with my husbands teaching positions, but nothing definite yet. We are waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) to hear something concrete before panicking.

Stay tuned for more developments!

Below are photos from our walks.
